18 mins
An experimental narrative short film exploring the unbreakable bonds of friendship beyond memory, borders, and time.
In 1998 Indonesia, two girls promise to stay friends forever. Twenty-five years later, Emily must confront her past in order to reunite her childhood love, Rosa.
Set in Toronto and Jakarta, Rosa’s Flowers images the fragmented nature of memory through projections of batik motifs, exploring dreams as a form of diasporic archive.
